Black Sesame Banana Muffins

Black sesame banana muffins are refined sugar-free muffins made with ripe bananas, black sesame butter, and peanut butter. These naturally sweet muffins are rich in healthy fats and have a nutty, slightly earthy flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup black sesame butter, tag Sesaone
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp honey, optional, adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp baking powder

Garnish

  • Black sesame spread
  • Banana slices

Instructions
 Start Cooking 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a muffin or cupcake tray with liners.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth.
    3 ripe bananas
  • Add the black sesame butter, peanut butter, honey, and eggs, then mix until the batter is well combined and creamy.
    2 eggs, ½ cup black sesame butter, ¼ cup peanut butter, 2 Tbsp honey
  • Stir in the cinnamon and baking soda, mixing until evenly incorporated into the batter.
    1 tsp cinnamon, 2 Tbsp baking powder
  • Evenly divide the batter into the muffin molds, filling each about ¾ full.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the tops are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the muffins to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with an extra spoon of black sesame butter and banana slices on top if desired.
