I’m a scientist at heart, a lifelong foodie, and the creator behind this site. I’m Vietnamese American, and I’ve always been surrounded by flavorful, nourishing cuisine because food is a love language for my family. I actually studied immunology and molecular biology, obtaining both my undergrad and graduate degrees from UCLA. As a research scientist, I studied acne pathogenesis, skin health, and drug discovery as an intern at Merck, a leading pharmaceutical company. While I got to publish some papers and do some cool experiments, I realized my passions lied in storytelling.
Tying together my passions for food and science, I turned to food and cooking content creation. I love exploring the benefits behind traditional ingredients, the diversity of Asian cuisine, and researching cooking methods to create delicious yet easy recipes backed by science. Along the way, I’ve been grateful to collaborate with incredible partners. I’m a Trusted Creator with Taste of Home (America’s #1 cooking magazine) and have worked with Cookpad (#1 cooking app in the world) as part of their inaugural U.S. creator cohort. I’ve also developed recipes and content for brands such as Red Boat Fish Sauce, Knorr, Chin-Su, Premier Protein, and more!
Outside the kitchen, you’ll find me looking for the best sunsets, spending time near the ocean, hanging with friends & family in SoCal, or traveling to new places. At the end of the day, I want you to be curious about what you’re eating, enjoy the learning process, and feel connected with stories behind food.
