
How to make Vietnamese shrimp toast, or Bánh Mì Nướng Tôm! I swear I eat like 10 of these at family gatherings LOL THEY’RE SO ADDICTING!! This was my sandwich version with a spicy mayo dipping sauce that is a must with this recipe!
(Looks a little burnt but trust me it’s good haha)

For different servings, multiply ingredients accordingly.
🍞 Bread
- 4 slices white bread
🦐 Shrimp
- 300 g shrimp
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp white pepper
- Sprinkle of MSG
- Green onion, chopped (to taste)
🥣 Dipping Sauce
- 3 tbsp Japanese mayo
- ½ tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp chili sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
👩🍳 Directions
- Mince the shrimp, garlic cloves, and ginger.
- Add in all seasonings and sauces, then mix thoroughly with the shrimp.
- Spread Japanese mayo on one side of the bread slices.
- Top the mayo side with the shrimp mixture.
- Air fry at 375°F for 8–12 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked and the bread is golden (watch closely to avoid burning).
- Make the dipping sauce of your choice (e.g., sweet chili, nuoc cham, or sriracha mayo).
- Cut into pieces and enjoy!
